Charming Stay with Unique Character
I had a wonderful stay filled with personality! The staff was incredibly friendly, greeting me with a refreshing drink at check-in. The quaint staircase added to the hotel’s charm. Don't miss the local café nearby for breakfast. it made my mornings absolutely delightful!

Request help with your luggage at the steep stairs. the staff is very accommodating and eager to assist.

The cozy atmosphere was welcoming.
The bed was incredibly narrow, making sleep difficult. I felt like I was going to fall out every time I turned. Plus, the steep staircase was not only challenging but dangerous, and I constantly bumped my head on shelves protruding from the walls.

The cozy room overlooked a stunning canal, and the breakfast featuring fresh bread and cheeses was a delightful start to each day. However, the steep stairs were quite a challenge.

mini fridge, historic building, access to public transport
The stairs to the reception are extremely steep and can be quite overwhelming!!! The lack of soundproofing means that street noise infiltrates the rooms making it difficult to sleep and the compact nature of everything can feel cramped for those with larger bags.

The location in Amsterdam was fantastic. Close to major attractions and easy access to trams. My room was small, but efficient, with a cozy vibe. The beds could be narrow for larger folks, but I found it comfy. The staff made me feel welcomed. they were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast offered nice choices, with lovely croissants and fresh orange juice, though I missed having fresh fruit and a toaster. The steep stairs made getting to the room a workout, which may not be ideal for everyone. On one hand, the quirky charm of the place adds character, but on the other hand, the tiny shower felt cramped. I appreciated the cleanliness of the room and the little touches like fresh flowers. Overall, it was a great budget-friendly choice, but just be aware of the steep steps and small spaces.

Location stands out, just a short stroll to major attractions like the Dam and the Anne Frank House. Unique layout with narrow rooms, cleverly designed with shelving and a small fridge. A cozy atmosphere that captures local charm.
The lack of an elevator is a workout, especially with 37 steep steps leading to the reception. Rooms are small and cramped. maneuvering around furnishings feels tight, especially with the bathroom layout. Uncomfortable bathroom sink placement also obstructs access, making it difficult to use comfortably. Noise levels could disturb light sleepers since some rooms face a busy street.

Perfect for adventure seekers
This hotel gives you a wild character that’s hard to find. The steep stairs are a workout, and carrying my luggage was quite the spectacle, but that’s all part of the charm right?
It wasn’t exactly cheap but it’s acceptable considering the experience.
